Returning Respect to the Envelope: Oscars Edition
Image via FastCo.
How many of you simply rip open the envelopes that you receive to find (sigh) bills or spam? Or do you neatly slice it open with a letter opener? The envelope I am highlighting today is no ordinary envelope. Disappearing are the pieces of frumpy sheets that celebrities are ripping open without a care as Mark Friedland gives the Oscars envelope a makeover. Beautiful typeface accompanies the gold frame-like structure that brings back the reminiscent golden age of film with an art deco vibe.
This is also a real-life application of pwc's rebranded mark by Wolff Olins (Article on Brand New), which up to this point was only seen from a multimedia application (correct me if I'm wrong).
